When you’re doing something that is not easy to do. You don’t enjoy it. Not every day brings you joy. Be he loves the company every single second. Hierarchy in your company matters, information matters. Your contribution to your work, shouldn’t be based on the privileged access to information. Say it to everyone at the same time. All contribute to solving a problem at the same time. Hear the problem, solution. Empowers people and give everyone equal access. SO number one: Empowers people.
- Feedback is learning. Learning from mistakes, other people’s mistakes, is the best way to learn. Why learn from your own mistakes?
- Discourages one on ones.
- Rather improves them instead of firing them. He doesn’t like giving up on people. He’d rather torture them into greatness.
- He does problem meetings, idea meetings, brainstorm, creation meetings. NO report meetings. Not have outlook dictate his life, purposely decide what to work on.
- Why do we think it’s hard? like hard things because they take a long time to do. Less committed people would not do it. If it’s really hard, it takes resilient, dedicated, committed person to go after it.
- Gut check everyday, reason about it. Also be clever. There are so many new companies.
